PTA Big Projects

This year we’re taking on a big project to fund benches in the Year 1 to Year 6 pods. These benches will be large enough to seat the entire class. They will be a place for classes to gather at the start and end of the day and somewhere for children to sit and read and chat at break times. Reception pod areas are used flexibly for other activities and so will not have benches installed. Children currently in reception will benefit from the benches as they progress up the school.

Alongside this core major project we will continue to fund smaller requests to support the learning and well-being of children at the school starting with a class set of 30 glockenspiel to support music teaching at the school. Alongside the set of ocarinas and the set of ukuleles that were previously funded by parents, this means that every child at the school can learn to play a tuned instrument and progress from glockenspiel to ocarina to ukulele.
