Open Hours and the School Day

From September 2024 the school day will start for all pupils from 8:45 am. This is to ensure that all children receive 32.5 hours of education a week. 

In line with the National expectation, our school is open for 190 school days. With our wrap around provision provided by Premier Education, the school is available to parents from 8:00am until 6:00pm in term time, as well as additional times during the school holidays. 

Morning registration currently starts at 8:45 am when all children come into their pods to meet with their class teacher and then go into the classrooms to attend to their Start of Morning Activities.

All children must be supervised when using the play equipment, and children should only play in the play ground assigned to their Key Stage. Children in Key Stage 2 must not play on the large climbing frame. Children who no longer attend Milton Road, must not use the school site as a thorough fare to get to their secondary school. 

Once parents/carers have arrived at school please encourage your child to go directly to their class rather than playing on the playground. 

For security reasons, pod doors are locked as soon as children have been brought into school, so please make sure your child arrives in good time for the bell. Any child arriving late, for any reason, must enter through the school office and sign in.

The school day ends at 3:15pm for EYFS and Key Stage 1 children.

The school day ends at 3:20pm for Key Stage 2 children.

• Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and younger Key Stage 2 children should be collected promptly by parents at the end of the school day.
