Though the weather may not immediately bring cricket to mind, year 4 have been busy learning and practising their skills with the help of Steve the cricket coach. We started by learning how to hold the bat before trying to break the school record of hitting a ball right across the field. The following week we developed our skills in partner work and communication by trying to score runs before the ball was returned by the fielders. We then moved on to bowling (no bent arms here!) before practising our overarm throwing skills this week. We are lucky enough to have Steve returning for two weeks after half term, it's been great fun!
