Governing Body Minutes

Visitor from Ghana

We have a visitor from our partner school this week. Hatsukope Primary School, Denu, Ghana has 760 pupils age from 4 to 18 and 22 teachers.

Mr Godsway Dorvlo is the teacher of Year 6 and he is here for the launch of “Sound Affects” programme at The House Of Common London, also to reciprocate Mrs Hiley’s visit to Hatsukope school in July.

He is enjoying his visit. He will be going home to sunny (still very hot) Ghana at weekend.

Courtyard Project Update

Phase 2 & 3 of the project is now completed and children are enjoying the Art and Play zone

Harvest Festival

We celebrated Harvest with special Assemblies for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Children Generously brought in all kinds of products which were sold to families at the end of the school day.

Money raised will go to charity.

Courtyard Project Update

Thank you for collecting Tesco Vouchers last Spring. We collected 30,100 vouchers and we now have:

Foundation Stage Children

Welcome to all our new Foundation Stage children who have made such a great start at Milton Road. They are learning all about the new routines and making the most of all the activities on offer.

Art Day

On 4^th of July, children studied famous paintings and re-enacted the scenes.

Courtyard Project Update

Phase 1 of the project is now completed

Phase 1

gigantic sandstone water feature (which children can dabble in and make prints on sandstone tiling); themed planting from different parts of the world linked to topics studied by various year groups.
